Team Suzuki Press Office – August 25

The fourth and final weekend of August sees MotoGP action from the British GP at Silverstone for round 12, AMA Superbike MotoAmerica at Pittsburgh International Race Complex, USA for round 8; and the final 12th round of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship at the Ironman National at Crawfordsville, Indiana.

Team SUZUKI ECSTAR riders Andrea Iannone and Alex Rins with start tomorrow’s British GP from the third and fourth rows after today’s final qualifying, where Iannone finished 7th and Rins 10th aboard their GSX-RR machinery under mixed weather conditions. The weather forecast for Sunday’s race could well see heavy rain at the Northamptonshire venue.

At MotoAmerica, Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing’s Toni Elias put his GSX-R1000 into Pole Position in qualifying with team-mate Roger Hayden 10th for the opening of 2 races.

The AMA Lucas Oils Pro Motocross Championship sees former AMA Champion and Suzuki rider Chad Reed make a return to the team and will race the new RM-Z450 for the Autotrader/ Yoshimura/ Suzuki Factory Racing Team.
