EWC 2019-2020

Team Suzuki Press Office – September 10.

Following the retirement of Dominique Méliand from the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team after the last round of the Endurance World Championship at Suzuka, Japan in July, the responsibility of the SERT 15-time EWC Championship team has been passed to a new manager starting the new season this month.

Damien Saulnier, who has worked for Suzuki for more than 20 years in the Superstock Junior Team Le Mans Sud team, is managing the new SERT Team starting at the opening Bol d’Or 24-Hour race in France on September 21-22nd.

Saulnier (46) has acquired a solid experience of the race and will be keen on maintaining the official EWC Suzuki ‘SERT’ at the highest level of the championship.

To support him, he will rely on his team and in particular, the historical SERT technicians Yann Olivier (engine), Jean-Paul Voisin (chassis) and also new team recruits Quentin Menard and Paul Vincent (race management) and Amandine Méliand (communication).

Gregg Black, Etienne Masson and Vincent Philippe will continue to race the GSX-R1000 to bring Suzuki to the top of the podium this season.

Suzuki and its partners thank Dominique Méliand’s SERT for the work done for nearly 40 years and wishes Damien Saulnier and his new team the best success for the Bol d'Or and this new season.
