YOUNG AND HAYDEN PODIUM AT ROAD ATLANTA SUPERBIKE18/4/2010
Team Suzuki Press Office - April 18.
Team Rockstar Suzuki's Blake Young and Tommy Hayden raced to second and third places in Saturday's opening AMA Superbike Championship double-header race at Road Atlanta in Georgia.
For Young - who set Pole Position - it was his best Championship result of the season aboard the GSX-R1000 Suzuki, although the race was shrouded in controversy following a stop-go penalty awarded to Yamaha's Josh Hayes; a subsequent red-flagging of the race; and Hayes' eventual win after the restart.
Michael Jordan Motorsports' Jake Zemke picked up fourth place with fellow Suzuki riders John Hopkins, Chris Ulrich and Taylor Knapp sixth, seventh and eighth.
LATEST NEWS: Young has been awarded the win following the exclusion of Hayes. Full report and photos to follow.
