There are some racers who say they'd prefer to be lucky rather than good. Well, going into the 2013 Supercross and Motocross seasons, Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing is hoping to be both. With newest team member James Stewart leading the charge on the Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450, chances are that the combination of man and machine will be more than talented enough to create plenty of their own good luck in '13.
Stewart joined the Yoshimura Suzuki squad mid-season in 2012 and focused on becoming accustomed to the RM-Z450. Heading into the upcoming AMA Supercross season, Stewart has already accumulated several AMA Motocross victories and countless hours of testing. In other words, he's due.
Likewise, the RM-Z450 remains one of the most dominant motocrossers in the four-stroke arena and, with a prolific race winner like Stewart at the helm, is a formidable competitor. Embarking on his debut season with Team Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing, Stewart is eager to race the 2013 model in the premiere 450 class in both this year's Supercross and Motocross series. For 2013, Stewart will be the sole rider for Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing, acting not only as a quality representative for Yoshimura and Suzuki, but also as a respected ambassador for the sport.
Stewart and crew will be led by returning Team Manager Mike Webb, who already led Suzuki to 22 major Off-Road Championships as that team's longtime manager. Additionally, the team continues to evolve and benefit from its ever-increasing partnership with Yoshimura, the performance giant behind Suzuki's amazing championship domination in AMA Superbike racing. Yoshimura knows racing.
