MOTOGP - ALVARO BAUTISTA BLOG

01/04/2010

Team Suzuki Press Office - April 1

When I first came to Rizla Suzuki I was a little bit unclear about what to expect because it was a new team and everybody speaks in English - even the Japanese staff! I thought this might make things difficult because my English is not perfect and I thought it would be hard to work here, but it is the total opposite to that! All the people in the team are very friendly and extremely professional and were from the very first moment that I arrived. I really feel like I am now a part of a family.

The Japanese staff is all pushing very hard at the Suzuki factory and I am very happy to be working with them all. We are all working well and I am very happy with the direction we are taking. I am trying to get my own way of riding the bike and this is very important for everybody. The team is expecting things from me and I try to do my best, but I don't feel any pressure at all. In fact I feel like just another person in the team and I think that we can all do very well together.

I am very happy because it is much better than I thought it would be and things look good for the future. There are no problems between mechanics, engineers or any other guys in the team and everybody knows exactly what he has to do and this is important for a team. I know this was the right decision now for me to come to Suzuki; it is good working for a factory and I hope that we will soon be winning races and competing at the front for Rizla Suzuki.

I am really looking forward to racing in Suzuki colours soon and starting to meet all the Suzuki fans worldwide - I just hope I can make them as proud to be fans of the team as I am to ride for it!
